Our Mobile Advice Centres (MACs) are designed to reach customers in vulnerable situations who might not otherwise access support. Delivered in partnership with trusted charity organisations, the MACs are staffed by specialist advisers who bring expert, tailored advice directly into local communities.
By taking services directly to people’s doorsteps, the MACs remove barriers such as rural isolation, limited transport and digital exclusion. They provide free, accessible and immediate support, whether helping individuals to reduce energy costs, improve safety in the home, or access a wider range of services, ensuring communities can receive the help they need in a way that is convenient and trusted.

Our MACs travel to targeted locations to engage with different communities each day, avoiding oversaturation and reaching new audiences, positioning MACs within established settings like food banks, community centres and events has seen huge take up.
We have seen new ways of thinking, including joining up with a weekly McDonald’s community event in Warwickshire, from this our team has connected with new audiences in an informal setting, with a constantly changing audience.
Similarly, attending local festivals and school holiday activities helps us reach families and individuals who may not typically seek advice. This flexible, locally led model ensures that each MAC is responsive to people’s needs.

Our Mobile Advice Centres travel directly into communities, reaching people in rural, isolated and harder-to-access areas where support services may not always be available. By working alongside local partners and community groups, the vans help bring together a range of services in one place, ensuring individuals can access the right support at the right time in a familiar and trusted setting.
Each vehicle is staffed by two fully trained advisers who provide free, face-to-face support tailored to individual needs. This includes:
By taking a joined-up approach, the Mobile Advice Centres not only provide immediate practical assistance but also open pathways to longer-term support, helping people stay safe, warm, and financially secure.

The MAC programme works with regional and national partners, combining their expertise to offer broad support in energy, financial wellbeing, and safety.
This approach has improved delivery and teamwork - MAC teams now regularly share insights, best practices, and knowledge, leading to better outcomes for customers.
The MAC programme builds trust by creating a welcoming identity through partner- led branding, moving beyond the perception that Cadent only addresses gas issues. The vehicles offer safe spaces for open discussion, with face-to-face contact helping those who are isolated or hesitant
