The programme grew six-fold to over 30 centres, each uniquely tailored to the requirements of the communities they support. The centres combine our funding, resource, and training, with a community centres position and trust. Centres for Warmth delivered support to thousands of customers most impacted by the cost-of-living crisis, with the average household being over £2,000 better off following a personal (free) consultation with one of our specialist energy and income advisors. In total the Centres have helped to put over £50m back into the pockets of some of our most (financially) vulnerable customers.
The project has currently delivered 14 Fixed Warm Hubs, 52 Winter Warm Hubs, and operated a Mobile Warm Hub for the past two years. The Fixed, Winter, and Mobile Warm Hubs projects have been attended by more than 50,000 people since launch.
